The Phi Omega Sigma Official Seal

Phi Omega Sigma (Philippine Organization of Students) also known collectively for short as POSANS, is a collegiate social-interest/semi-service fraternity/sorority and an international alumni association (Posans Alumni Association, Inc.) founded in Central Mindanao University (CMU) at Musuan, Maramag, Bukidnon, Philippines in the year 1968 under the hands of Benedicto "Ben" Boiser and the late Teodulo "Teddy" Malagar.

We, the POSANS-Phi Omega Sigma are proudly claiming that we are the only group who seek not just brotherhood and sisterhood but most of all, WISDOM. We believe that more and more POSANS are successful not just only from the Philippines but also on every part of the world.

Posans Alumni Association, Inc. (PAAI) is duly registered at the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) with REG. NO. : CN201227619

NOTE: Phi Omega Sigma International of the Philippines (Posans) is independent and is not a subsidiary to any group with a similar name that may be existing in another country outside the Philippines. Therefore, Posans has no legal / fraternal affiliation with Phi Omega Sigma at the College of Wooster, Phi Omega Sigma Christian Fraternity, Inc. at Missouri State University, Phi Omega Sigma Sorority at Oklahoma Baptist University, Phi Omega Sigma Housing Group at Grove City College (all in the United States) and with Phi Omega Sigma Fraternity in the University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo; additionally, it has no connection as well with the Phi Omega Sigma - PO7 global Christian women's welfare group. Only the group Theta Sigma Phi of the Philippines, established in Central Mindanao University in 1965, is recognized as POS Philippines affiliated and partnered group.

The ten best reasons for joining a fraternity

Social.
The Greek social calendar is always full. Being part of a Fraternity gives you the chance to take part in great events and even plan new ones.

School Spirit.
Most Greek societies owe their existence to the respective university to which they belong. As such, you will rarely find a group with more school spirit than a campus Fraternity.

Scholastic Achievement.
Fraternities can teach the skills necessary to succeed in University through study groups and various other support mechanisms.

Leadership.
Learning opportunities are abound in the administration of a Fraternity. Though you may be part of a longstanding tradition, it is you who will take that tradition into the future.

Philanthropy.
All Greek societies give back to their communities in their own way. The fun part is dreaming up original ways to fundraise and get involved.

History.
Many Fraternities have longstanding and proud traditions spanning decades (even centuries!). Fraternity Brotherhood means belonging to something much larger than yourself.

Lifetime Membership.
Friends come and go. Cliques rarely stand the test of time. A Fraternity can be a continuing source of friendship and guidance long after your University career is over.

Networking.
Lifetime membership insures that there is a large pool of alumni with whom many real world contacts can be made. These contacts can prove quite useful when the university days are over.

Ritual.
Most Greek organizations have traditions or secrets that are not shared with the general public. This is often the most personal and loyal part of life in a Fraternity.

Brotherhood.
The one element that no other scholastic organization can give you. The feelings of togetherness and support cannot be easily described. They must be discovered for yourself!
